I’m an American evolutionary biologist investigating how chromosome segregation works at the molecular level, how the underlying genomic systems evolve, and how synthetic biology can be leveraged to experimentally interrogate these mechanisms. My research combines my expertise in genetics, genomics, biochemistry, and computation, with additional training in yeast taxonomy and systematics.

I’m currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow with Andrea Musacchio at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology (Dortmund), where I study the atomic structure of native kinetochore assemblies.
